Who Won? Full Breakdown of Lawrence County’s Municipal Elections
Voters across Lawrence County went to the polls yesterday to shape the next term of local leadership.
Courtland elected John McGregor and Hillsboro elected Scottie Bolden as mayor, while North Courtland re-elected Riely Evans Sr., now entering his third term, and Town Creek once again chose Mike Parker, who has held the mayor’s seat since 2008 — marking his fifth straight win. In Moulton, the largest field of candidates left no clear winner, sending the mayoral race to a runoff between incumbent Roger Weatherwax, who has served since 2016, and challenger Ryan Jolly.
Most other contests are settled, with only two races headed to a runoff to determine the final outcomes.
